F.A.Q.

Should I wash my hair before my hair color appointment?

We’ve all heard that “dirty” hair is better to color than freshly washed. While it is true that our natural scalp oils help keep our strands hydrated during the coloring process, excessive product buildup does not. If you have days worth of dry shampoo or hairspray in your hair, it’s a good idea to wash it.

How should I prep my hair for a Curly Cut?

The most ideal way to have your hair when you come to me for a curly cut is to have it dry and styled how you would on a typical day.

I cut curly hair dry. Coming in with it dry helps me establish strand health, determine lengths and see your curl’s super special behavior. Curly hair loves to remind you how “special” it is, doesn’t it?

Why is the door locked?

Our salon is by appointment only. This means we do not have regular business hours. Oftentimes the door will be locked momentarily. No need to fret or knock, I will be right there.
